Transform your smartphone into a sophisticated flight instrument with an array of integrated features designed for paragliding enthusiasts. The app includes essential functionalities such as GPS, Moving Map, Variometer, Waypoints, Altimeter, automatic Logbook, Thermal Tracker, Compass, Heading, Speedometer, Wind Direction, and Glide Ratio.

One of the notable aspects of this app is its user-friendly interface. There is no need for external accessories or extensive setup; it operates seamlessly on your phone with default settings. Maps are downloaded automatically, and it functions similarly to Google Maps. Users can conveniently choose from four different map types, select their preferred device orientation view, and determine whether to use metric or standard units. Setting a waypoint is as simple as a single click on a scrollable map. Each time the app is launched, it directs you to the saved waypoint.

The Thermal Tracker feature allows users to effectively locate thermal cores during flights. This application was developed by experienced paraglider pilots who aimed to create a straightforward yet powerful flying tool. Unlike other applications that impose additional charges for essential features like waypoints, ParaMap offers all necessary tools without the burden of in-app purchases or advertisements.

However, potential users should be aware of the following disclaimer: THIS PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS," with the entire risk regarding its performance resting with the user. The effectiveness of this software is dependent on the device on which it is installed; performance may vary across different smartphones. This tool is not intended to replace any existing aviation software or hardware but is designed to complement them. Users should not rely solely on this software for safety and should ensure they have access to a backup compass, as not all phone compasses function uniformly. Additionally, it does not confer permission for flight in cloud cover.
